E-government rankings

Australia also performed well in the "E-government rankings" produced by the World Markets Research Centre. Australia was ranked 3rd behind the US and Taiwan for the proportion of its government web sites conforming to assessment criteria based on the scope of information provided on agency web sites, the clarity of the site, privacy and security policy, etc. In Australia, 50.7% of all federal government agency web sites examined conformed to all assessment criteria compared to 57.2% of sites in the US (ranked 1st) and 52.5% of sites in Taiwan (ranked 2nd). Data for Hong Kong for this indicator was not available.
