Call for Applications
Broadband Internet service providers are invited to apply for registration for the Australian Broadband Guarantee 2007/08.
The Australian Broadband Guarantee Guidelines and Application Form are provided below for information.
To assist applicants, an Info Pack is also provided which offers guidance on how to complete the application form.

Applications for Registration Round 1—due 13 July 2007
All Applicants must complete the application form and submit it together with all accompanying documentation to DCITA. Complete applications for the first Registration Round must be submitted by, or postmarked by, 5.00pm AEST on 13 July 2007.
Applications must be submitted in both hard copy and electronic format on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM. Electronic documents must be provided in a Microsoft compatible format or be accessible using Microsoft tools. Geo-spatial information such as maps should be provided in MapInfo TAB file format. The original hard copy application must be signed and dated and must be accompanied by one complete electronic copy.
DCITA will advise applicants by email on the receipt of an application. If you have not received an email acknowledgement by 16 July 2007, please contact DCITA immediately at the address below.
Clarifications
DCITA has issued the following clarifications in relation to applications to join the Australian Broadband Guarantee:

ISPs seeking to apply to join the Australian Broadband Guarantee should review these clarifications as well as the Guidelines and the Info Pack. ISPs taking advantage of the extension of deadline for submission of police checks. 2006/07 audited accounts and additional data to support applications for Service Areas must submit the rest of their applications by, or postmarked by, 5.00pm AEST on 13 July 2007.
Industry Briefings—June/July 2007
DCITA officers are available to undertake industry briefings for interested parties by appointment until applications close on 13 July 2007. All briefings will be held at DCITA's Canberra office at 38 Sydney Avenue, Forrest, ACT or by teleconference.
The industry briefings will be undertaken solely to clarify the Australian Broadband Guarantee program guidelines and the draft funding agreement to potential applicants. Briefings are not for the purposes of promoting an applicant to DCITA, and information obtained at such briefings will not be used in, or influence, the assessment of any applications at a later date. DCITA Officers will also not be able to provide pre-approvals or preliminary approvals of any application or proposal.
DCITA reserves the right to make public, through a notice on its website, any clarification provided at any industry briefings. Such clarification would not be attributed to any person or organisation.
