Murray

The project was centred on Albury/Wodonga region and covered the Wodonga, Greater Hume, Indigo, Towong, Deniliquin, Balranald, Wakool, Conargo, Jerilderie, Urana, Murray and Corowa local government areas.

The project led to the building of a series of infrastructure, including transmission towers on Huon Hill and Nail Can Hill, from which CDMA and WiMax services are being provided. The project also led to a council decision that all Greenfield developments will have fibre conduit installed for community benefit, with the first being at Mitchell Park and the Albury Airport Industrial Estate.

The broker drew together the key elements of a farm demonstration project for on-farm voice, data and telemetry applications involving SERCK and URSYS. The McCaughey Institute project includes water management systems, soil and ambient temperature sensing, on-farm mesh networks and machine to machine management.
