The Prime Minister and the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts announced the Australian Broadband Guarantee on 7 March 2007. From April 2007, the Australian Broadband Guarantee will replace the Metropolitan Broadband Connect program and the Broadband Connect Incentive program. Release of Metro Broadband Connect guidelines
The commencement of the Metropolitan Metro Broadband Connect program was announced on 8 March 2006 by the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Helen Coonan – see
