The National Broadband Strategy Implementation Group
The NBSIG is a Standing Committee of the Online and Communications Council. The main role of the NBSIG is to oversee the implementation of the National Broadband Strategy and to provide a focal point for the coordination of activities at all levels of government in relation to broadband. The NBSIG is supported by three working groups.
The NBSIG met for the first time in August 2003 and consists of government officials representing all levels of government and the health, education and research sectors. It has played a key role in the development of the National Broadband Strategy and will have a role in monitoring and evaluating its progress and success.
