Proposed reforms to the broadcasting regulatory powers of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (Submissions closed)
The Australian Government considers there may be a case for enhancing the broadcasting enforcement powers of the communications regulator, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), following the merger of the Australian Broadcasting Authority and Australian Communications Authority.
An issues paper outlining a number of reform options being considered has been released, seeking submissions from the public by Friday 9 December 2005.
